Speedy's BBQ: The Go-To Destination for BBQ Lovers in Lexington, NC

If you want bbq. Speedys is the place to go. Come hungry. Take whats left home. I have eaten here for years and never finished my plate. Go, eat, leave miserable. It's the best.

Being a down East girl, western NC style will never measure up. Speedy's was very similar to the other bbq establishments in town. Great service! Speedy service! When you can't get down east this will suffice.

Always fast service and great food. The staff won't let your drink cup go empty They also offer great lunch specials When I in town for work I try and stop by for lunch. I would recommend you give them a try.

If you want NC BBQ, you want Lexington BBQ, and if you want Lexington BBQ you want Speedy's. Delicious, authentic, BBQ, dip/sauce and hush puppies, served quickly and with a smile. Delicious.

Went to the new location on Saturday for dinner. Party of 10. We had to wait about 5-10 minutes to be seated. Sever promptly took our drink order and food order. We had a short wait for our order. Portions are extremely generous. Food was served hot and fresh. We all enjoyed our meals (BLT, BBQ sandwiches, BBQ plate w/ potato salad, baked beans), hot chips, and hush puppies! Cannot wait to go back!! ** if you use a CC or debit card, they do charge a fee! Take cash!!

Speedy's BBQ moved its location maybe 2 miles by the way the crow flies. Moved their staff, all the pictures posters and BBQ Festival memorabilia to the new to them building. And last but not least they still offer their Large quantities of Delicious Q to the new establishment. I been there three times since the opening.My wife wanted to see the new place so a late lunch early supper for us it was.Service is still on the spot.They take your order bring a pitcher of ever what your drinking and a cup of dip and extra plate.And then comes that big ol' plate which for me was a Brown chopped plate with slaw and fries and a side of hush puppies. It was delicious as always.Waitress was very nice to us and attentive.As we were leaving it was 5:00 at the crowd was rolling in. I know Speedy's BBQ had an awesome business before. But the new place has a major highway running right in front of it. I know it had to have brought in more customers.

This is such a classic gem. They're in a new location from the place they've been for all those years but still equally as nostalgic. Their red vinegar barbecue sauce is amazing and their red slaw tastes like childhood felt. They're really busy but they turn tables quickly and the service is great. They don't have alcoholic beverages but it's not that kind of place. Very family friendly, true down home grass roots southern charm. The customers are respectful and the servers are all very nice. This place feels like you're at your meemaw's.
